"Proximity" is more than a geographic advantage in Brandis. The administrative staff are on hand to assist you in person, whether it is as a citizen, businessperson or visitor, for factual questions, concerns or an open discussion: during office hours and, with an appointment, also at other times.
To accommodate altered habits and the requirements of our citizens, at the beginning of 2014 we altered the office hours of the town hall to make them more citizen friendly: on "late Tuesday" it is open until 7.30 pm; in addition, every fourth Saturday in the month the citizens of Brandis can also come to the town hall with their matters and concerns. This makes Brandis one of the few municipalities in Saxony whose administrative offices are regularly also open to citizens on Saturdays, and the only town council to be open until 7.30 pm on "late Tuesdays".

The right to municipal self-administration also provides authority to regulate all matters of the local community via statutes. Statutes are passed by the town council.
