In both the secondary school and the grammar school the school social workers provide assistance with overcoming everyday problems.

The goal is to support socially disadvantaged pupils and help them gain school leaving qualifications. School social work attempts to promote initiative, social skills and involvement. Consulting the service is voluntary.

Individual assistance / consulting /and contacts are offered with regard to:

• Difficulties at school

• Problems with the family

• Problems with fellow pupils and teachers

• Fears and concerns of all kinds

• Arguments with friends

• Transition between school and vocation
