Brandis is a town of music. Numerous musicians enrich the life of the town. The Polenz Einigkeit 4 e.V. association is known beyond the limits of the town itself for its range of concerts and festivals. In addition, the town has numerous choirs. In summer a town music festival is held in place of a more traditional town festival.

The basis for this is good music schools and facilities.

In the Musikarche a group of music lovers joined forces to establish and run a Christian-oriented association for musical and other cultural work in Brandis. The aim is for old and young to feel at home and secure here.

The purpose of the association is to promote musical culture in Brandis, in particular that of children and young people, and the integration of all age groups and social backgrounds in varied cultural events in the Musikarche.

The association aims to enable children, young people and adults to make music together. It is the administrative body for the individual bodies of the association and for the orchestra school. The orchestra school specialises primarily in training in the following instruments: recorder (as preliminary stage for other instruments), flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, tenor horn, trombone, percussion instruments, piano and keyboard.

The association is committed to promoting communal playing for each pupil following the learning of basic skills on the instrument. Particular emphasis is placed on group experience and the communal aspect, as this is of positive significance for the personality development of children and adolescents.

In this long-standing music school it is possible to learn instruments such as piano, keyboard, saxophone, clarinet, accordion, concert guitar, electric guitar and bass guitar. The learning of musical notes and harmonies is also included. Registration is possible at any time. Lessons take place in groups of up to three pupils and in one-to-one lessons.

Instruments do not need to be brought to the music school, these are provided to the pupils free of charge for the lessons, with the exception of wind instruments.
Children are taught music from the age of three and a half. There is no upward limit for age. The youngest pupil is 4 years old, the oldest 70.
